Immunophenotyping: Immunophenotyping was performed on a fresh bone marrow specimen. In the CD45 Side Scatter gate there was a population with very low expression of CD45 and Side Scatter. In the lymphoblastoid gate there was a population of immature myeoid cells that had the following phenotype: CD34+, CD33+, CD13+, HLA-DR+, CD11b+/-, CD14-, CD15-, CD117+, CD19-, and CD10-. This population comprised 90% of the cells in the probe.
Comment on this image collection: Immunophenotyping is consistent with an acute myeloid leukemia with a component of blasts consisting of 90% of the overall cellular population.
