Immunophenotyping: Immunophenotyping was performed on a fresh bone marrow specimen. More than 90% of the cells constitute a blastoid population with a decreased expression of CD45 and side scatter characteristics that place the cells above lymphocytes in the plot. This population exhibits the following phenotype: CD34+, CD13+, CD33low, CD7 -, CD14 -, HLA DR+, CD117+, CD7.1 -, CDKORSA -, CD3 -, CD10 -, CD19 -, and CD56.
Comment on this image collection: Immunophenotyping results are consistent with an acute myeoid leukemia, although clear indications of a specific subtype cannot be discerned.
