Immunophenotyping: Immunophenotyping was performed on a fresh bone marrow specimen. The cell populations noted are 5% lymphocytic, 3% monocytic, and 12% red cell precursors. 60% of the Blast population expressed the following Marker profile: CD34+, CD33+, CD13+, HLA-DR+, CD14-, CD36-, CD117+/-, CD56+, CD19-. The abberrant expression of CD19 can be associated with a Translocation of t(8;21).
Comment on this image collection: Immunophenotyping results are consistent with an acute myeloid leukemia of the M2 subtype.
