Cytogenetics: No cytogenetics testing was performed on this patient.

Molecular genetics (incl. Southern blot, PCR): No Molecular Diagnostic testing was performed.

Diagnosis: Although the Immunophenotyping is suggestive of a Chronic Myelomonocytic Leukemia, the cytology results are indicative of an acute myeloid leukemia of the M5b subtype.

Differential diagnosis: Chronic Myelomonocytic Leukemia (CMML)
