Immunophenotyping: Immunophenotyping was performed on a fresh marrow specimen. In the Forward and SIde Scatter plots, are the following cell populations: lymphocytoid with 15% of cells, monocytoid with 0.5 % of cells, granulocytoid with 3% of cells and 79% of the cells being small granulocytic and expressed low CD45- staining. In the mononuclear gate a population of cells is seen, 70% of which have following phenotype: CD19+, CD10+, CD34+, CD13 -, CD15 -, CD5 -, CD14 -, HLA DR+, CD7.1 -, and Korsa+.
Comment on this image collection: The findings are compatible with a C-ALL Common Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia. Korsa expression serves as an indicator for the presence of a Philadelphia chromosome positive C-ALL.
